Tuscany

Tuscany features maybe the best of Italy in one region: art cities of incredible beauty; spectacular countryside of rolling hills, vines, olives, lavender and sunflowers;  tasty and healthy food and craftsmen of incomparable style.

There are many Tuscanies, different worlds created by the territory, but also by the different history of the places and its inhabitants.  The Tuscany of Val d’Orcia Pienza and Cortona, the Tuscany of the Chianti area, Tuscany of the Maremma area: a rough, fierce and archaic land, marked by the mysterious passage of a great civilization and the sweet Tuscany of Lucca and Versilia, located between the sea and the Apuan Alps, rich in intense aromas and works of art.
Besides the most well-known places, there are still many evocative places, almost unknown, and it is surprising how much there is still to discover. We know how to let you discover the authentic Tuscany , far from the crowd.
Tuscany is home of great wines and we know many superb wineries ( in the Chianti area, in Southern Tuscany, Montalcino and Montepulciano and in Maremma area which is home of the most exclusive and expensive Tuscan wines where we will be glad to organize private visits and wine tastings  for you.
Tuscan food, famous around the world, is made from tasty products, both simple and genuine, such as salame and prosciutto (cold cuts), cheese, wine, home-made pasta, crostini, pappa al pomodoro (a bread and tomato soup), and fish from the coast.
Tuscan cooking is simple and delicious; you can learn about it, from the easiest to the most sophisticated recipes, by taking cooking classes that we can organize throughout the whole region.
Tuscany has an antique tradition of refined artisan production: from the tapestries woven by hand, to the home fabrics of the ancient Florentine textiles that still reproduce the antique traditional Tuscan patterns, the hand-crafted silver pieces; the antique objects, from the smaller curiosities to the antiquities of another period, the terracotta, and many other hand-made arts and crafts.
